#Neat video premiere pro software
The one fault I have for the Neat software is that it uses up a TREMENDOUS amount of system resources and time. With this clip it is definitely one of diminishing returns. There is some improvement at levels 4 and 5, but not much for each additional step. IMO, with this clip, it is difficult to notice much of a difference past Level 3. I selected sample noise areas according to the directions on the Neat web site and was able to achieve an excellent noise sample quality of 83% (see /user/NeatClips/videos). The "Neat Level" in the video refers to the setting of the "Temporal Filter", the only variable in this test. If I remember correctly, the lens was set at 12mm (24mm FF equivalent) and f/2.8. Other than the original, I did minor color correction with PPro's Fast Color Corrector (white balance, very slight levels adjust (highlights), and bumped the saturation to 120). I have used it nine times to illustrate different settings. (The "stutter" in the pan is due to Vimeo's transcoding from the 60fps original to their default 30fps (24fps?).) I did a handheld pan starting with the exhaust fan/lights on the right and finishing on the dark side of the kitchen by the sink. It is pretty dim in the kitchen at night. This is my kitchen with two 40w LED lights (halogen replacements) in the cooktop exhaust fan on the right. I had seen some really great tests showing how well Neat Video's noise reduction worked and wanted to see for myself. However, it is fairly easy to cut in footage with the GH3 as a b-roll camera. While the camcorder I have used was almost $6K when new (Sony HVR-Z1U), these days it doesn't compare well with the Panasonic GH3 I shoot all of my new video with. MP4.Ībridged Original Description: I've been doing a lot of video transfer from HDV tape lately and have noticed some real issues with noise on these tapes. However, I have to say the results are worth the time! BUT I don't like it taking so long! I ran the built-in optimizer before rendering out to. Even with this MONSTER of a video card, it took over 2 hours to render this ~5.5 min video (see rest of config below)! I'm checking on Neat's forums to see if I can find a way to reduce this ridiculous render time. I've upgraded my video card to a GTX 780 TI. It "swipes" back and forth showing the FANTASTIC result from level 5 and how truly horrible the "original" was.ģ. I have added a Neat level 5, sharpened vs. ALL of the Neat video denoising was done on the Fast Color Correction clip.Ģ. I added a header for each clip explaining what had been done to it. I made the following changes for clarity:ġ.
#Neat video premiere pro series
I used v3.5 and need to download v3.6 with 700 series CUDA 6 optimizations. So, I got off my lazy rear (or, more accurately, go ON it) and recut the video. 7, 2014: I wasn't completely satisfied that my original upload clearly showed how much of a difference Neat Denoise made on the footage at Temporal = 5.
